Padi Eduardo Solang was a pioneer of the Cordillera Peoples Alliance and served as secretary general and chairperson. He was one, if not the most, colorful and lively characters among the CPA leaders and elders, always carrying a song in his heart and words of wisdom for the younger CPA leaders and members.
Our council meetings and congresses were never boring with him around. As an elder, he continued to serve his kakailian through conflict mediation and promoting intertribal peace, as an active member of MAITUD.
As he passes on, we are deeply saddened and we grieve, but also draw strength and inspiration to his legacy of leadership. Salamat Padi. You will be always remembered.

May I add since I am not a member of the CPA; that, he is likewise as you have described him, in his work as a Clergy – among the Clergy and among the flock he has sworn to serve, and as a Man amongst all peoples.
